Brief Bio : Dr. Nelson is from Terre Haute, IN and completed her pharmacy education at Purdue University College of Pharmacy. Upon graduation, she completed a PGY-1 focused in Ambulatory Care at Campbell University College of Pharmacy/ Wilson Community Health Center in North Carolina, followed by a PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Residency at East Tennessee State University Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy. She now serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy’s Department of Pharmacy Practice at ETSU. Dr. Nelson also holds a Clinical Pharmacist position with Mountain States Medical Group Family Medicine in both Johnson City and Elizabethton, TN, where she has a collaborative practice agreement with six physicians and two nurse practitioners. Her areas of interest include transitions of care, high-risk medications, and chronic disease state management. She is also a member of ASHP and ACCP.
